Site stuff

Nov 29 2005 Published by Brad under Uncategorized

I’m putting the finishing touches on the latest version of my website. I’m including a portfolio of my artwork, (traditional and digital,) the usual contact info and resumé stuff… but also a miscellaneous section for photos of my studio, maybe a “how to” or two, personal pages with other various projects, etc. I’m trying to create something nice to look at, but also simple for me to maintain. If I don’t keep it very straightforward, I’m doomed. I know myself, and it’ll get ignored as soon as I forget where I put that layered file with all the fancy buttons.

Another week or so should do it, as I have to pull together all the files I want to include in the portfolio, and take photos of the ones that haven’t been digitized yet.

Not all the pictures for this book turned out exactly as I wanted, but this one is pretty close.

I’ve just found out that my first hardcover storybook, We’re Having a Tuesday, by DK Simoneau, is due to appear in about three weeks. For the moment, it will only be printed in a short run for friends and family. But the official publication date is May ‘06, so in a few months you can start searching Amazon.com for me, and I just might be there.

Evanston shoreline at 7:30 this morning.

Woke up today to fluffy flakes in the air and slush underfoot.
As with every year, autumn was far too short.
