Happy New Year
Have safe and happy celebrations, and see you in 2009.
These magazine assignments came in a few days ago, and I was glad to knock them out this weekend along with a large, two-page spread inspired by the layouts of Where’s Waldo.
Instead of showing the illustrations today, I’ll instead post the thumbnail sketches for the two illustrations, next to a portion of their finished counterparts. Larger versions when you click ‘em, you know the routine.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. It’s hard to believe that 2008 only has about 72 hours of life left in it…
We didn’t get around to sending out holiday cards this year, so in lieu of current seasons greetings, I thought I’d share some holiday cheer from the past. I drew these long ago as our family holiday cards, and in the latter two examples Anonymom used her own creative talents to clean up my lines a bit.
As a side note, it’s interesting to see how my sense of dimension developed during these years.
Happy holidays, one and all!
