Child Model 2
This is the same piece as below, but I’ve now combined it with scanned pieces of cheap felt from the local fabric store (click to see it larger). My current thinking is that, like the program Blue’s Clues, we may animate the whole cartoon with this process. I think the added texture is more visually interesting, and would lend the animation an almost handmade quality.
I LOVE this – plus, I think that kids can really relate to this texture (I don’t know a child who doesn’t own a felt board!)
