Last Minute Line Up

Looks like we may get to take the old Jeep on vacation after all. It’s been in the shop for weeks, but the big reliable V8 is ideal for towing the GlobeTrotter through the high plains of Colorado and New Mexico so I was happy to learn it will hopefully be ready for prime time by next week. It could set us back a day, but from the sound of things it’ll be worth the wait.

Gas prices? Low mileage from towing a big hunk of aluminum behind you halfway across the country?

Yeah, it’s not fun to think about – but I quickly remind myself:
A) You only live once.

B) Since adopting Nell, you haven’t so much as gone out to movie. That counts for something!

C) That hunk of aluminum is the reason you won’t be blowing $90 a night at a smokey Motel 6.

D) And finally, you haven’t seen your parents in 9 months – and that ain’t okay.
